Sigh of relief

The Mets defeated the Red's in today's season opener in Cincy with another solid pitching performance from Johan Santana.

Daniel Murphy's bat continues to amaze, while Gary Sheffield looked on grunting the defense and two singles by Ryan Church.

Most importantly, the new bullpen did exactly what we've been missing for a few years...allowed us to breathe. Sean Green and JJ Putz got the job done and Fransisco Rodriguez had a 1-2-3 ninth for his first save as a Met.
